Etsy

Last year 0n June 3rd, I bit the bullet and opened the doors to my Etsy shop, DesignsByTrisha.
In case you haven't heard of Etsy, let me explain, Etsy is a web site devoted to selling only handmade items and supplies for those who make the items. It is a wonderful outlet for people to get their handmade items out there for the world to see, and hopefully purchase. It is also a wonderful way for people worldwide to shop in worldwide online shops. It is not like the other E site. There is no bidding. You can find the most unique, quirky, beautiful items on Etsy.
I originally hoped to market my handmade jewelry, which I had been selling locally. I quickly found out there are about a zillion items of jewelry to buy on Etsy. So I changed my focus and decided to supply others with the piles of fabric I have accumulated over the years. I have had some success with that. I also made some gorgeous hair bows which I also had some success with. I am currently working on beaded Christmas star ornaments and gift cards. I love doing all these things but I haven't found my niche yet. You need a unique product and I haven't imagined or designed it yet.
In the meantime, I keep on keeping on and enjoying the beauty of other Etsy artisans.
